Obituary of Grace W. Lavin

Grace W. Lavin, age 82, of Bridgewater, NJ died Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lavin was born October 18, 1924 in the Bronx, NY the daughter of the late William A. and the late Grace W.(nee Smith) Kreusser. She resided in Bridgewater, NJ for the past 10 years, prior to that, she lived in Pattenburg, NJ and Dunellen, NJ. Grace was employed by Ortho-McNeil in Raritan, NJ as an Accountant for many years. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Grace loved to sew and often made clothing for her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. In her later years, she traveled the world but always had time for her family. She considered every holiday or birthday a special event and enjoyed spending that time with her family. She is survived by her: Sons, John J. Lavin Jr. & his wife, Pauline of Rome, Pa. and Jeffrey T. Lavin & his wife, Joyce of Holland Twp., NJ. Additional survivors include her cherished Grandchildren: Sarah & her husband Matt, Julie & her husband Jack, Johnny & his wife, Marsha, and Christine & her husband, Paul and her Great-Grandchildren: Kylie, Jordan, Jack, Melanie, Vincent and Carlo. Mrs. Lavin was pre-deceased by her beloved Husband: John J. Lavin Sr. in 1981. Visiting Hours will be on Monday, June 4th from 10:00 to 11:30 am at the Martin Funeral Home. There will be a Funeral Service also on Monday, June 4th at 11:30 am following the visitation. The interment will take place at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
