Obituary of Roberta C. Brush

Roberta Carolyn Brush passed peacefully, May 28th, working amongst her apple trees. She was 70 years old. Roberta moved to Union Township over forty years ago with her husband Joe and raised three children. She became a member of the Pattenburg Rescue Squad some 25 years ago. Shortly thereafter she became an Emergency Medical Instructor and received her paramedics degree in 1994. Roberta was an active member of the rescue squad right up to the end. She was a pacifist and active in local land conservation efforts. Her family would like to thank all those who were her friends, neighbors, mentors, and colleagues. Roberta was predeceased by her husband and is survived by her daughters Hillary Brush Wilson and her husband Bob, Honor Brush, her son Sam and his wife Courtney, and was Nana to their daughter Zoe. She will be dearly missed. Family services will be held privately at her request. There will be an Emergency Services memorial for Roberta Friday June 15th at 8 pm at the Pattenburg Firehouse. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Pattenburg Rescue Squad, 590 County Rt. 614, Asbury, NJ 08802 or the Hunterdon County Land Trust, 56 Main Street, Suite 2E, Flemington, NJ 08822-1474. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of Martin Funeral Home, Clinton, NJ.
