Obituary of Maria C Gonzalez

Maria C. Gonzalez, age 59, of Annandale, NJ passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 with family at her side.  Maria was born September 22, 1960 in Newark, NJ. She is the daughter of Alfredo and Isabel (De Oliveira) Cascais.  

Along with her parents, Maria is survived by her beloved daughters; Jennifer Anders and her husband Clay of Asbury, NJ; Nicole Ervin and her husband Sean of Boyertown, PA; sonMarcelino Gonzalez and his girlfriend Melissa of Jacksonville,Florida; grandchildren Ella Grace Anders, Teagan Marie and Patrick Rylan Ervin. Also surviving is her sister Isabel Valente, nephew Angelo Valente and wife Melissa and their two children.

Maria lived in Hunterdon County most of her life where she raised her 3 children and worked tirelessly to provide them with the best life possible.  She lived a very active lifestyle enjoying walks, hikes and summers at the shore with family and friends.  Maria was an avid baker and crafter and could create something beautiful out of nothing.  Maria spent many years working at TD Bank as a customer service representative where she loved interacting with customers and making people laugh.  Maria spent her life always trying to help others and became very involved in her community, helping at parish festivals and other charity events.

Friends and relatives may gather with the family on Monday October 14, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday October 15, at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale NJ 08801.
