Obituary of William H. Remsen Jr.

William H. Remsen, Jr., age 96, of Clinton passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. William was born on June 29, 1911 in Clinton and was the son of the late William H. Remsen Sr. and the late Emily Green. Previously from Trenton, NJ, he has been living in Clinton for the past 17 years. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and went on to receive his Law Degree from Seton Hall University. Mr. Remsen was an Attorney, specializing in medical malpractice for USF&G Insurance Company in Newark for over 40 years before retiring. William was an avid reader and also enjoyed golf. He is survived by a Nephew, John B. Glenfield of Allentown, PA.; a Grand-nephew, Roger Glenfield of Somerville, NJ; Grand-niece, Ruth Kinsey of Mansfield, OH; Grand-niece, Elizabeth Strohl of Allentown, PA. He was pre-deceased by his wife: Elizabeth Remsen, the former Elizabeth Kershaw, a long time High School teacher in Clinton. There will be a memorial gathering held on Monday, July 30, 2007 from 1:30-2:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home on 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ . A Memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, following the gathering.
