Obituary of Barbara Ann Larsen
Barbara Ann Larsen, age 89, from Flemington, New Jersey, passed away at home on May 8, 2020. Barbara was born on October 18, 1930, in Orange, NJ. She was the daughter of the late William Cosgrove and Emilie (Kantner) Cosgrove.
Barbara was a 1948 graduate of West Orange High School. On February 12, 1949, Barbara married her beloved husband, Harry. She was as secretary for 30 years, working for a variety of organizations including, real estate, churches and a temple. Barbara spent the following 25 years as the owner of the Stanton Station Country Store located in Flemington, NJ. Her greatest accomplishments were her beautiful marriage to Harry, being a wonderful mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother, and a caring neighbor.
Barbara was an active volunteer at Yesterday's Treasures Thrift Shop located in Flemington, NJ. She received an award for her volunteer service from Hunterdon Healthcare. She was a parishioner of Stanton Reformed Church. Barbara enjoyed spending time drawing, crossword puzzles, and baking.
Barbara will forever be missed by her daughter, Carol Tyrol and her husband Bruce; son, Paul Larsen and his wife Deana; grandchildren, Katherine, Jen and her husband Travis, Megan and her husband Peter, Paul and Anna; great-grandchildren, Avery, Liam, and Fox.
Barbara is predeceased by her husband, Harry Larsen.
