Obituary of Richard B Stolar

Richard Bertram Stolar, age 80, Glen Gardner, New Jersey, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020, at home. Richard was born April 1, 1940 in East Orange, NJ. He was the son of the late Bertram Stolar and Mae (Szymanski) Stolar.

Richard was a 1958 graduate of Union High School. After graduating he joined the United States Army. Upon his Honorable Discharge in on December 13, 1964 he returned home to operate the family business, ParagonTelevision Service, Union NJ for twnty three years. In 1987 he became an Iron Worker for Local 480 as a site foreman.He worked as an Iron Worker for Local 480 as a foreman. Richard had a love for fishing and hunting. He enjoyed being a member of the Warren County Rod and Gun Club for 20 years. He and Gail also enjoyed traveling. Taking numerous trips with their good friends Venon and Shirley Mancini. 

Richard is survived by his wife of thirty one years, Gail Liss Stolar; daughter, Christine Stolar Sickley Jr. and her husband Peter; stepson, Brian Carter and his wife Kristine; stepdaughter, Nancy Carter Kirkup and her husband Keith; grandchildren, Gina Marie Carter, Christopher J. Carter, Karli Ann Carter, and Sean S. Kirkup; and sister, Diane Stolar Barnacle.

Richard is predeceased by his son, Richard Craig Stolar; and his parents, Bertram Stolar and Mae (Szymanski) Stolar.

Services will be held privately at this time, with a celebration of Rich's life to be held at a later date.
