Obituary of Eleanor White Peters
My Mother, Eleanor, passed away last Friday evening.
To celebrate the life accomplishments of this very special person I have planned services on September 22nd , Saturday, at the historical Zion Lutheran Church in Oldwick, NJ. (517 and Church Street) @ 11:00 am.
Following the service, all are invited to luncheon at the Beaver Brook Country Club, Country Club Drive in Annandale, NJ. Price of admission is an Eleanor story.

ELEANOR WHITE PETERS
Eleanor White Peters expired August 31st at Little Brook Nursing Home in Califon, NJ. She was 87.
Born in Highland Park, Michigan, her parents were Alfred White and Jane Evans White.
Eleanor grew up in Pequannock, NJ, and graduated from Butler High School in 1932. She took nurses training at Christ Hospital, Jersey City, and was awarded her diploma in 1941. She received her BA from Jersey City State College and MS Degree from the State University of New York in 1983.
Her long career encompassed most disciplines of nursing: practitioners office, clinical, industrial, and teaching at both high school and college levels. The last fourteen years of her fulfilling career were spent with the State of New York as a community mental health nurse working with mentally retarded adults in South Fallsburg, NY. She retired in 1995.
She resided most of her adult life in Saddle River, NJ, and was active in the Historical Society and Zion Lutheran Church. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa and also Sigma Theta Tau. She is listed in Whos Who in American Women. Eleanor was a world traveler who had visited every continent and an avid antique collector and lover of nature and animals.
Eleanor (husband William J. Peters, died 1964) had two children: Susannah J. Peters, residing in Annandale, NJ; and William J. Peters, who predeceased her in 1979. She is survived by nieces: Deborah White Barry, Patricia White Ganzemueller, Alice White, Diana White, and nephew John White.

Celebration of Eleanors life will be held Saturday, September 22nd , at 11:00 am at the Zion Lutheran Church in Oldwick, NJ.
