Obituary of John W Sheppard

John W. Sheppard, age 94, of Flemington, NJ died peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Lopatcong Care Center in Phillipsburg, NJ. John was born June 10, 1926 in Orange NJ. His beloved wife of sixty-six years, Dolores "Dolly" Sheppard, predeceased him on January 21, 2019. He is also predeceased by his mother Marge Sheppard and his sister Mary Savage. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. John attended the Newark College of Engineering and had a career as a Methods Engineer, he also worked with his wife at Sheppard's Antiques. John enjoyed boating, wood working as well as building and flying model airplanes. He volunteered with both the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts. He spent many enjoyable years with his faithful dog Brady who predeceased him. Surviving is his daughter Joni, son-in-law John, granddaughter Rebecca, grandsons Adam and Alex, his niece Carole and his nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania. Interment will be held privately by the family at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia NJ. Arrangements are under the care of Martin Funeral Home, Clinton, N.J.
