Obituary of Harry L. Schmauser
Harry Leonard Schmauser, age 79, of Pittstown, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Hunterdon Medical Center. Born May 14, 1941, in Clinton, N.J., Harry was the son of the late George and Floretta Schmauser.
Harry was a dedicated husband and father. He was married to his beloved wife, Gladys (Berry) Schmauser. Together they raised their family in Pittstown. Harry was self-employed, owning his own business, Schmauser Excavating. Harry was always helping family and friends and was there to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.
Harry had a love for farming and stock car racing, especially preparing the team race car, Triple 000 Race Car, with his friends, Bill Oakley, Ronnie Heft and Al Strunk to race at Flemington Speedway.
Harry will be forever missed by his wife, Gladys (Berry) Schmauser; son, George Harry Schmauser; daughter, Kathleen Louise Davo and her husband William; grandchildren, Julia Lynn Davo and Hunter Ryan Davo; sisters, Alice Pfeiffer and her husband Jim, and Joyce Kornberger.
He is predeceased by his brother, Frank Schmauser; brother-in-law, Bobby Kornberger and his good friend Jack Campbell.
Friends and relatives may greet the family on Monday November 30, from11:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. A service of remembrance will be held at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Cemetery at 2 Race Street, Pittstown, NJ 08867.
