Dear Susan, Marisa, Gina and granddaughters,
Our dear, wonderful Johnnie has gone to be with the Lord in Heaven. Johnnie Boy (family name) was my First Cousin and, being an only child I wished I could have a Brother like him. As children we played together in the same house our Grandparents owned in Newark, NJ (John's father and my mother were close siblings. We called each other a lot as adults, but always had a laugh or two about staying up late each week to watch Gunsmoke together at Grandma's apartment upstairs. We both dressed up in cowboy and cowgirl clothes, complete with pistols and caps. Grandma would laugh at us shooting the "bad guys" to help Marshall Dillon in Dodge City. A few years later, we moved from Newark and had an apartment in Irvington, NJ. We still stayed together and were fast friends, along with Cousins. I will always bless Johnnie for being the only one of my relatives who came to my Mom's wake in October, 2009. He was so upset...my Mom loved Johnnie so much. There are so many wonderful memories, I could fill a book....Olympic Park, Seaside Heights, sledding with his Dad, roller skating at Twin City, and many more...Since Johnnie past I sometimes pick up the phone to call him....I am so sorry for Susan, Marisa, Gina, the Granddaughters, Valerie and Janice. I will miss him, as we were 11 months apart, but we will meet again. I know Our Lord was waiting at the Gate for him and knew all about the wonderful person Johnnie was. He always was a friend to all. So long, Cuz....See you on the "other side". May you Rest In Peace. Cousin Lillian Alexander Padavano

Sue, Marisa and Gina were fortunate to receive the love and devotion of John. His love was visible and tangible to the rest of us. When he played guitar and sang to Sue, it was pure emotion...each note pouring out love and devotion. This year has taken a toll on all of us and our sorrow is compounded by the loss of John. I know that your family is suffering now and hope that each day you gain the strength to fill your lives with happiness and the hope of much good to come.❤️

I am so sorry to learn of John's passing. I played softball with him the last few years, and we always had some good laughs. He played second base and I was the shortstop. We combined on some nice double plays. We last played together this past summer in Randolph, when he came to the game wearing a very proud smile because one of his daughters came with him.
John was one of the faster runners on the team, and often ran for many of who had injuries. Additionally, he and I always had fun mimicking some of the lines from the movie, "My Cousin Vinny."
My sincerest condolences to the entire family. John will be missed, but never forgotten.

Dear Susan and daughters,
I have nothing but fond memories of John when we worked together at Berkeley Terrace. We also shared some fun times at the bowling alley after hours for the teachers' bowling league. He was quite good, as I recall. I am truly sorry for your loss. I know how much he loved his family. That is evident from the pride on his face in pictures shared on Facebook. May he RIP. My wish for his family and friends is peace and comfort in the difficult days ahead.
Sincerely,
Maureen McMinn Duzs

Sue, Peter and I were so saddened to hear of John’s passing. We have very fond memories of John from Montclair State and from his days at the Route 3 Drive In ! John made working at Myrtle bearable with his constant jokes and humorous quips that helped lighten the mood. We are sending our love and will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. May John Rest In Peace.
