During one of our first ski practices this season we actually had snow ~ to Glenn's delight. He got on his boots and skis and was off in a flash as though it was yesterday and not a year ago that he had raced and won at Vernon. Although he was disappointed that our overnight at SONJ Winter Games was not going to happen because of Covid this year, it did not curb his enthusiasm for practicing and having fun with his friends.
Glenn remembered to ask about all my family that he had met, like my husband and even those he had just heard about, like my grandson. He listened to know if they were OK and was concerned if they were not. He had genuine affection for all of us.
Glenn was an excellent cyclist but his considerable effort put into biking never kept him from thoroughly enjoying an after event celebration - Glenn liked a good party with lots of shared food with fellow athletes and friends.
I will miss Glenn - we will all miss him - very much. My sincere condolences to his Dad and his family.

We are very shocked and saddened to hear the tragic news about Glenn.
Glenn was such a kindred spirit and he brought joy to all of us on the team every time we met for special Olympics bicycling practice and on race day.
Glenn always greeted everyone with such great enthusiasm and sincerity, he will be missed very much.
May he rest in peace.
Condolences to his family and all of our Hunterdon County Special Olympics bicycling team and community.
A special note of gratitude to Ms. Pat Hennesey for having supported Glenn all these years bringing him for the practice and racing events.

My deepest condolences to the family!! I’ve been working with the arc for a year and some change now. I was just starting to get to know Glenn. He was such a sweet individual. I know he loved skiing, and collecting pens. I remember I gave him a brand new pen to add to his collection the one day, and he got so excited!! He always knew how to make me feel beautiful, even on days I did not look my best. Glenn was such a beautiful soul!! We will always remember you Glenn. FLY HIGH ANGEL!!

The entire Phillips family offers its condolences. Glenn was a friend from my childhood. We rode bikes together, explored the woods that young children believe are endless forests, and played together with boundless imagination. Thank you for the fond memories, Glenn. Godspeed.

I have so many fond memories of Glenn. He was a very person. As his bicycling and cross country ski coach for Special Olympic we got to spend a lot of time together. On the overnights he was always up at the crack of dawn and knocking on my door ready to start the day. His favorite expressions to me were I quote. “ What am I going to do with you”, “You’re getting old grandma” and “you look good”. I will miss him so much.
