My deepest condolences for Diane and her wonderful family as we mourn the loss of our dear Tom. He has gone no farther than home to God, and God is very close. Nevertheless, his presence will be missed by all who loved and cherished him. Tom is possibly my oldest friend. We started in the first year of Epiphany School together and were in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Sea Scouts under the able leadership of Tom’s Dad and my Dad. Tom and Diane, Susan and I were great friends at the University of Florida, were part of one another’s weddings, visited in Altus AFB, and saw one another too infrequently thereafter. Tom was always steadfast, a rock in character, and inevitably a great patriarch for his family. The Community has lost a wonderful Catholic leader and American patriot, but he lives eternally in the presence of his Heavenly Father, the angels and the saints. We rejoice at his homecoming, but you will be missed here by so many. God loves you, Tom, loyal and faithful servant.
