Obituary of Louise A. Green-Scheier

Louise A. Green-Scheier, age 86, of Glen Gardner passed away on November 30, 2007 at Warren Haven Nursing Home in Oxford. Louise was born on July 5, 1921 in Jersey City, NJ. She was the daughter of the late John and the late Alice (Robinson) Hockenbury. Mrs. Sheier was a resident of Glen Gardner for over 70 years. She worked for the State of NJ at Mt. Kipp in Glen Gardner for over 35 years. She also worked at the Hunterdon State School in Clinton for about two years, when Mt. Kipp/NJ Hospital for chest diseases transformed into Hagendorn. Louise enjoyed traveling and stock car racing. She is survived by her Children: Carol Zairo and her husband John of Washington, NJ; John Green and his wife Teresa of East Stroudsburg, PA; and Dawn Collins of New Gretna, NJ. Her 4 Grandchildren: Gretchen Stein and husband Alan of San Jose Ca., John Zairo Jr, of Hampton, NJ, Kimberly Lynch and husband Richard of Belvidere, NJ and Stephanie Fensk and husband Dave of Wayne NJ; and 7 Great- Grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother: Bill Oakes of Clinton, NJ and her sister: Shirley Thompson of Indio, CA and by many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Frank. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 from 10:00 am to 11:00am at the Martin Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, at 11:00 am following the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington.
