Sorry to hear at this late date about Gerry's death. We had a blast playing with the kids and singing 'Addicted to Love' in Basking Ridge. He was a terrific guy.

Lived next door, and grew up together, as children.
So long, old friend.

I'm one of the countless number of people that Gerry impacted in a powerful and positive way. For about six years he met with me for breakfast each week on Tuesday mornings before work. I grew to know him as a spiritual lion. He seemed to see all things through Christ's eyes. Christian action was a joy for him, not a burden. He was incapable of approaching a problem, person, or situation with anything less than Christian love and compassion. The height of the bar he set towered above any other that I've seen. He was able to depart on his terms, modeling graciousness, love for his family, and dedication to Christ. I had the privilege of knowing him for a brief while. I'll never forget him, and my life will never be the same as a result of having the good fortune of knowing him. Gerry was a spiritual titan, wonderful person, and great man.

It was truly a gift to know and share time with Gerry. He was a rare and very special individual -- warm, funny, smart, big-hearted, curious, talented, and seemingly always either smiling or on the verge of a smile. This is terribly sad. Gerry was one of a kind. I want to extend my profound condolences to family members. Tom Metcalf

I would like to express the sadness and support of our French colleagues to Gerry's family. The rapidness of the event was a second shock after the announcement of his disease. Beside the LT, a lot of people did appreciate his contribution to the group and the warm contact he had.
We all will have a personal thought at the time of tomorrow's funerals

It is very shock news not only me but also Japan MPK staffs. When I read the mail, I cried " not the truth" unconsciously, even though at meeting. I have worked with Gerry for about 10years and talked with him about many things. When Gerry visited to Japan last year, he made great effort for GLP implementation and GLP Mock inspection successfully finished. And he have supported our BA activities for long time. I and Japan staffs know well that he has very kind heart and he is honesty. I feel really sad. I would like to ask you to send our condolences to his family and US GMPK colleagues.
Best regards,
Emi

We all are shocked and speechless. Gerry was a very friendly, patient and always competent conversation partner. His kind of humor was always highly appreciated and many of us learned a lot from him - not only in the BA area. Of course we will keep him, his wife and family in our thoughts and we will never forget him. There is a nice aphorism in Germany: "Nobody will pass away completely if only one remembers at him". We are more than one, let's follow it.

I was very upset and shocked by your news concerning our friend and colleague Gerry especially coming at this time of the year when it is a period of joy and happiness. I remember the good times we had especially the evening spent on the beach (Gerry, Gary, Dennis, Dietrich) in Montpellier after the hectic week at the f2f which was only in september. As Graham says Gerry will be sadly missed by the LT members, he was a very humorous, kind person who helped us all form one united group over the past few years.
Please send my condolences to GMPK colleagues in the US and especially in Bridgewater and of course to his family. Please let me know if I can contribute to a wreath on behalf on the LT.

I was informed this morning, through François, that Gerry passed yesterday. As you, I am very sad to ear this.
I did not work closely with him, however I am sharing totally what it was written by Graham "We could always count on Gerry....a humorous or compassionate word".
It fits very well with the way I was perceiving him. I really enjoyed spend some time with him, every time I met him either in US or France.
We really miss him.
Give to his family my condoleances for this very difficult time.
I am with you during this very sad period,
José

With the passing of our friend Gerry, today is one of the saddest days I can remember in my professional life. It's fair to say that Gerry touched us all, he was the epitome of all the best that humanity has to offer. Gerry was a loyal friend to us all. He was kind, thoughtful, reverent, always positive and treated everyone he met with overwhelming respect. Gerry always built bridges between people and always gave more, more more, than he took. One thing I didn't know about Gerry until the last few weeks was how courageous a man he was, a man that gathered tremendous strength from his family, church and friends.
Gerry has had a lot to do with shaping our group into what is today. I know we will all miss Gerry, terribly. Myself, I will never forget Gerry. While we must mourn the loss of Gerry, we must not forget to celebrate the time he spent with us, we were truly blessed. I will always remember the times we spent together. I will remember the hard work, the challenges we faced together, his advise and counsel and the adventures we had together. Few of us will ever forget our friend Slash (Gerry) walking down the hall with his side kick, Bounder (Graham). I know many of you, like me, feel anger and frustration because our time with Gerry was so short. But was it so short? Gerry changed us all, he made us happier and hopeful for the future. With this, Gerry will live on with all of us...................
Carpe Diem,
John
