Obituary of Mafalda Capitini

Mafalda (Muffie) Capitini, age 86, of Flemington, NJ passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at HunterdonMedical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. She was born January 22, 1927 in New York, NYand was the daughter of the late Antonio and the late Concetta (Calvo) Prestipino. Muffie worked as an accountant for Bankers Trust in New York City for over 10 years. She lived in Chatham and Toms River before moving to Flemington, NJ. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, gardening, taking long walks, and summering on Cape Cod. Family was most important to her and she loved just spending time with them. She is survived by her beloved daughter: Janis A. Capece and her husband, son-in-law, Christopher, her dear grandson, Gregory V. Capece and dear granddaughter, Emily A. Capece. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Olimpia Prestipino as well as many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Vincent J. Capitini in 2004. Muffie's Life Celebration includes visitation on Tuesday, February 26th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 27th at the Immaculate Conception RC Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton following the funeral Mass. Donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
