Obituary of Margaret B. Koep

Margaret Brand Koep, a resident of Union Twp., Hunterdon County for 36 years, died Saturday, October 4th at the Hunterdon County Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ after a long illness. She was married to the late Sebastian L. Koep for 55 years. Born February 28, 1919 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Helen Brand. Marge was a warm, generous and enthusiastic person, devoted to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed drawing and painting, music, reading, collecting dolls and jewelry. She was a gifted storyteller and had a great fashion sense. She was a communicant at Immaculate Conception Church in Clinton Twp. She is survived by three sons; Gregory Keop and Christopher Koep of Union Twp., Hunterdon County, NJ, Thomas Koep & his Wife, Mary of Alexandria Twp., Hunterdon County, NJ, one daughter, Margaret Ellen Koep of Upper Black Eddy, Pa. and five grandchildren; Lazarus, Jonas, Britta, Darios and Noah. She also had many nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased be all of her siblings, four brothers; Adam, George, Frank and John Brand and three sisters; Ann Frimmer, Helen Petervary and Bertha Favina. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Koep on Wednesday, October 8th at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ 08801. The Interment will take place at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery on the church grounds immeditely following the funeral mass. Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Koep may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, P. O. Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062-8960.
