I heard through friends of Al's passing and wanted to convey my thoughts and prays to his family. I worked with Al at AMI for several years. I enjoyed his mentoring and his friendship. Any person who got a chance to know him was all the better for it. My prays go out to the family and friends during this time of need.

Words cannot describe how I feel about this man I worked with at AMI. I was material control there from October of 1996 until October of 1999. I worked close with him whenever my job failed to work I was in engineering with Al. I would like to say I visited with David Crawley sometime this year in September asking for an address all he could give was a phone number I never called I was told he was under hospice care at that time. My thoughts and sympathy go to his whole family. He spent hours talking to Bob Tipping in Tipping's office which wasn't far from mine, took a bicycle with Dave Vallone to the beach, flew an airplane ride with Doane Seeley. I wasn't related to Al but he was like a brother to me just like the rest of them were at the company. To have found his obit online and not to have been told by our company is a shame. Al's
family was lucky to have him
he had a heart of gold and where there was trouble to be solve with a machine Al had the answers and if he didn't he found them. No one can ever replace him or fill his
shoes no matter who will sit in his chair at the company.

Uncle Allan was the cool uncle. He had such a wonderful sense of humor. I will miss laughing with him at family gatherings. He is at peace now, but will be missed always.

I worked with Allan at AMI for 10 years but left just about the time he got sick. I've thought about him many times over these last few years and it gives me a good feeling to see that he had so many loving and caring family members and friends standing by him in that very rough time.
I can't imagine the AMI Engineering Department without Allan on guard at the entrance.
May he Rest in Peace.

Thru all of you girls, I have know Allan since he was 8 years old, just a skinny little kid running around! I remember us all playing lots of poker for pennies on your living room floor when we all got a little older. I always think of Allan with his long ponytail! He was a wonderful person and you all took such good care of him when he got sick. He could not have asked for more..
Rest in Peace, Allan.

I worked with Allan at AMI and many mornings I would start my day by spending 5 or 10 minutes talking to him. I love poker and we would discuss the WSOP and other poker tournaments. I miss starting my day seeing his smile. Allan had a wonderful sense of humor and a kindness that will not be forgotten. My thoughts are with his family.

I will always remember my uncle Allan for his great sense of humor and kind heart. I admire his courage and strength. He never complained or asked "why me" throughout his battle with cancer. I treasure the times I was able to help with his care. He was and always will be my favorite patient. I love you Uncle Allan and I know you are finally at peace.

This is how I think of you
Fearless- not afraid of what layed ahead
Strong- you were willing to do what it took to fight the battle
Loved-Your family and friends have tried to be there for you every way that they could so you wouldn't have to fight the battle alone
Teacher- You have taught me that no matter how bad you may think you have it. Someone else out there may have it worse.
This dedicated to my Uncle Alan who tried his hardest to fight brain cancer. The doctors once said that he only had 3 months but that was almost a year ago. But he pushed to live just a little longer. No matter what he kept on fighting as long as he could.
I love you Uncle Allan. Thoughts of you will never be forgotten

Allan was the best uncle a person could ask for. I can remember all the holidays that we spent together, and all the time he spent with us. He would always have time to play with his nieces and nephews no matter how annoying we would get.
I am so sad that we have lost him and that my children will not be able to know him like I did. I will miss him so much.

I worked with Allan at AMI from 1985 through 1992. He was always my favorite person to visit in the years when I would go back to AMI after 1992.
He was kind and funny and he will be missed. My mom, Marge, had Allan's job in Engineering before Allan took over. We are both saddened by his passing. Our thoughts are with you all.

I will always remember my Unkin Allan. He is by far the coolest, funniest unkin any girl could have ever asked for. I will never forget him lifting me in the air by my elbows. I made him do it all the time probably till I was like 16 or 17 years old! Him and I shared the same sense of humor and we could always crack each other up! I only wish Hailey could have known him but I'm happy she was with me the last time I saw him. I can only hope he heard her gibbering in the background. I love him so much and will forever miss him.

I remember him catching the biggest fish in the world that day. Thanks for teaching me about electronics and physical fitness.
