Obituary of Thomas R. Foppiani

Thomas R. Foppiani, age 86, of Clinton, NJ passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Thomas was born February 25, 1927 in Bronx, New York and was the son of the late Thomas and the late Rosa (Dondero) Foppiani. Mr. Foppiani was a set up man for Hyatt Roller Bearings, a Division of GM, in Clark NJ for 26 years before retiring. He has been living in Clinton for the past 13 years and was previously from Nutley, NJ. He attended Cardinal Hayes High School and was a proud member of the Alumni Association. He was a US Army Veteran and attended Columbia University in the Bronx after his military service. His hobbies included crossword puzzles, gardening, working around the house and watching TV. He was a proud grandfather who enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 ½ years: Louise (Purpura) Foppiani; his 2 sons: Thomas G. Foppiani, Peter G. Foppiani; daughter: Faith Truppi and her husband Carlo; his three grandchildren. Giuliana M. Truppi, Silvana L. Truppi and Giancarlo M. Truppi; his sister, Marian Lang and his nephews, Michael, Stephen and Kenneth Malm. The Visitation will take place Sunday, April 14th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 15 at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. Interment will be private.
