I can not think of one single memory but I can remember many. I do know this for certain, Skip (as known to his friends) would not care for any bragging about him. That is what made him such a great man. Skip always put others first and treated others with such great compassion. I am so very grateful for the times I got to spend with him. Skip was very talented. I will miss him and will never regret calling him friend.

I shall forever treasure the friendship and memories of this dear friend. It is no surprise to all of us who were fortunate to know him to realize just how many folks he touched along his way. He truly was a man of his time. In prayerful remembrance, Pat Becker and Family

We have nothing but the fondest memories of Skip. My mother, Gayle Cabot, worked with Eileen at "the Kipp." When I was 8 I got my first train set and Mr. Monn gave me a really nice transformer, some train cars, and some scenery. His generosity continued when I had my own son, with his own train set. His handmade coaches are priceless. We will cherish them forever, along with the memories of Skip, Eileen, and that amazing train set in the basement.
Skip left behind a treasure of heartwarming memories. To his family, you are truly blessed.

I'm sorry to say I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Monn as closely as those of you who were more fortunate, but in knowing his sweet daughter, Stacy, and his dear son-in-law, John, I feel the very deep love and family dedication that they enjoyed. How devastating it is to suddenly "lose" someone so close, someone who has been "your world" every day of your life. At the same time, may you feel blessed to have had the wonderful relationship you have known for so many fabulous years. The family love and respect that Mr. and Mrs. Monn nurtured and passed on to their daughters and extended families and friends is exactly what this world of ours needs. May all of us who have been touched by Mr. Monn's special warmth, do him honor, by extending warmth to others, as he did. May the comfort of his ongoing and genuine good example help Stacy, John, Elaine and David to find strength and be able to concentrate on all the greatness that their Dad brought to this world. I pray that Mr. & Mrs. Monn are dancing with one another in heaven right now, yet still looking over their family and friends, as they always have.
With love & prayers,
Rosemary & Jim Burns

To the Monn Family,
I was sad to see you dad's obituary. Before my husband Richard died we used to go dancing to Bruno"s Supper Club in Asbury ,N.J. Of course that was a few years back. We would see you Mom and Dad dancing and enjoying each other. In between the music (then played by a live band) we would chat. We all lived in the area and about 6 couples used to always show up on Sat evening to Dance. We got to look forward to chatting with your Mom and Dad. They were lovely people and looked great on the dance floor. I hoped they shared these past experiences with your family. I will keep them both in my prayers. God Bless!

He was such a wonderful & talented man and has left so many people with lasting memories. His presence backstage at the dance shows was calming, but the twinkle in his eye made you wonder what he would be up to next! He was the only one who could tease Elaine and get away with it!! He will be missed, but I hope knowing he is with his treasured wife makes it a little easier.

Our hearts hurt for all of you. The love and dedication your daddy held for his family was obviously abundant and exemplary. Try to celebrate his contagious laugh, his perpetual sense of humor, his gift of being able to lighten other's burden's, and his quiet faith in God that he shared by example. He touched so many lives! We love you!

I can't begin to express how sad I was to hear about Skip. I have such fond memories of him coming into the garage (Rick Allen's) He always made my day. When he made my daughter, Emily, a cradle when she was born, I was shocked. We love it to this day and will cherish it forever. He took that extra step in everything and made it beautiful. Sorry for your loss.

I always thought of Mr. Monn as a grandfather figure to me. Seeing "Grandpa Monn" backstage at our dance performances always put a smile on my face. He could sense my anxiety and replace it with warm laughter. He will certainly be missed. I wish him everlasting happiness now that he is at peace with his wonderful wife.

You are always in my thoughts and prayers Uncle Skip I love you! Coming to visit over summer vacation and getting to see the trains and clocks are probably my most memorable moments.
