Obituary of Gertrude E. Hartmann

Gertrude E. Hartmann, age 87, of Lebanon Boro, NJ died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at home. Mrs. Hartmann was born April 22, 1921 in the Bronx, NY the daughter of the late William and the late Gertrude (nee Bersch) Koenig. Mrs. Hartmann resided in Lebanon Boro, NJ for the past 8 years and previous to that, she lived in North Plainfield, NJ. She was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting, reading & watching TV with her cherished pets by her side over the years (Sassy, Annie, Sunny & Pumpkin).She is survived by her Daughters: Marion Hartmann Scharnikow of Annandale, NJ & Joyce Settle of Sierra Vista, Arizona, her Son: William Hartmann & his Wife, Tracey of South Plainfield, NJ and several Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren. Gertrude was pre-deceased by her beloved Husband: Henry Hartmann and her Daughter: Penny Hartmann both in 1996.Visiting Hours will be on Sunday, April 5th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Service offered Sunday evening at 5:00 pm also at the Funeral Home. On Monday, April 6th, there will be an 11:00 am Graveside Service with Interment at the Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Funeral Home will open at 10:00 am on Monday morning for those who wish to join the Funeral Procession to the Cemetery.
