Obituary of George F. Denning

George F. Denning, age 89, of Hampton passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009 at his home. Mr. Denning was born November 12, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late John and the late Catherine (Peters) Denning. He has been living in Hampton for the past 42 years. Mr. Denning served in the Army Air Force during World War II, where he was an airplane engine mechanic. He was a line foreman for Lipton Tea in Flemington for many years before retiring at the age of 62. He was member of the VFW in Glen Gardner and the Whitehouse American Legion. He was an avid golfer and he enjoyed bowling. He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Doris (Snyder) Denning, his stepchildren: David, Joseph, Debra and Albert. He has 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother John, his sister, Rose and his step-son Robert. There will be a Memorial Mass held on Saturday, Janurary 9th at 11:00 am at St. Ann's RC Church, 30 Church Street, Hampton followed by interment in St. Ann's Cemetery. Family & Friends are invited to meet directly at the Church on Saturday morning.
