Obituary of Phil A. George

Phil A. George, age 66, of High Bridge passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. Mr. George was born July 26, 1943 in Palmerton, PA. He was the son of the late LeRoy U. and the late Minerva (Strohl) George. He worked at Passaic River Terminal and W.A.S. Terminal in Newark, NJ as a Terminal Manager for 37 years before retiring. Phil was an avid Yankee and Miami Dolphins fan. He enjoyed spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Dianne (Raunec) George, his children: Phil (Jeff) George and his wife CarrieAnn, Carol Faust and her husband William, Susan Phillips and her husband Chuck; His grandchildren, Randi George, Phil (PJ) George, Emily Faust, Amie George, Jayson Phillips, Dylan Phillips and Alyssa Phillips; his siblings, Donald George, Ruth Smith, JoAnn George, LeRoy George and Roy George; his step-mother, Sylvia George of Simpsonville, SC. He was predeceased by his parents LeRoy and Minerva and his brother, Larry Anewalt. Visitation will be on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & from 7:00 to 9:00 pm the Martin Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 11:00am starting at the funeral home followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton.
