I regret that I was unable to take off from work to attend the memorial. My sincerest condolences to the family. I assisted Richard during his recovery process for 4 years spanning 2005-2009. Though sometimes abrasive on the outside, I learned of his gentler side. I came to appreciate his many talents including his painting, model train renovation, gardening, and love of nature. He often spoke about his three daughters, and his wishes to have made a more positive impact on them. I wish that in his death, he and his family have found peace.
