Mike was a great cousin. I remember sitting next to him at Thanksgiving dinner this year and then watching football with everyone. I have so many memories from family events together: playing poker with Gma on the Disney Cruise, listening to his Arnold impressions, seeing Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway, watching him and Jim beat down on Dad and Uncle Larry in pool basketball and baseball). Mike was always laughing and smiling. I love him and the rest of my family.

I never knew Michael personally, but as an alumni of Muhlenberg and a former Delta Tau Delta brother, I have heard of him and what a wonderful spirit he was. It always hurts to hear of such tragedy, and as a parent I can only imagine the pain that the family is going through. Know that there are hundreds of men that stood for the same ideals and values that Michael did, and we share a bond that goes beyond simple friendship. I did not get the honor to speak with Michael, but I am certain that he was a honest, bright-spirited, outgoing and heart-felt man, and that the world is a little more dim with his absence. God bless.

I didn't know Michael but I also have an 8 year old son named Michael and I can't imagine how you and your family feel. Please just remember that Michael is at home now with his Father and experiencing a peace unlike any other. God bless you and your family. You will all be in my prayers during this Christmas time.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kursar family, especially Mr. Kursar. I was a student of Mr. Kursar's in middle school. Though I did not know Michael, from everything that I have read, Mr. Kursar loved him very much. So, I hope him and the rest of his family will find some comfort in all of our thoughts and prayers.

Although I did not know Michael personally, I believe he and I shared a love of Muhlenberg College. I am the secretary of the Alumni Board of Muhlenberg College. Michael will be remembered at our next Board meeting. Although family, friends and the College community are deeply saddened by Michael's passing, I trust, in time, we will all come to be thankful for the time shared with Michael and the memories of the wonderful things he accomplished during his all too short life. I pray God will guide those who mourn Michael through their grief to brighter days of wonderful memories. God Bless.

I didn't know Michael personally, but when his grandfather Al would sit in my chair & get his haircut he would beam with stories of his grandchildren! I feel like I know his whole family as I'm sure he feels like he knows my son Michael also. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Mike was one of the most sincere and genuine guys I knew. He always knew how to make you laugh and had a terrific sense of humor. I'm glad to have so many great memories with Mike such as the baseball games that took us all around the state and the many friday night practices at Grand Slam. I was lucky enough to become close friends with Mike during high school. Junior year, we had all but two classes together. That was, by far, my most enjoyable year of school. There wasn't one day that would pass without a good laugh. I'll always remember Mike as the fun loving, smart, and funny guy that I had known him as. My thoughts and prayers are with the Kursar family, and I fully trust that Mike is now in a better place.

Dear Larry, Karen and Matthew,
This is a time when our grief may be too great for words. Please know that the Spirit is still praying for you even if we do not know what to pray.
Mike was a generous, kind, funny, thoughtful, honest young man. It was a privilege to know him. It was a joy to see him serve and love people from the well-spring of his faith. It was wonderful to see the love and support of the Kursar family in action: we loved visiting in your home.
As Mike’s pastor during his Middle School and High School years, I want to give you comfort in knowing that Mike is with Christ. Of this I have no doubt! On several occasions we talked about his faith and what he believed. Please know that now his faith is complete!
Our family grieves with you, prays for you, and waits with you until that day when all things are restored by Jesus himself. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:4
In Christ, and in the Hope of the Resurrection from the Dead,
Tim, Karen and Noah
