Obituary of Walter R. Wadle Sr.

Walter R. Wadle, Sr., age 68, of Hampton passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at his home. Mr. Wadle was born February 24, 1942 in Elizabeth, NJ. He has been living in Hampton since 1971 and was previously from Union, NJ. Mr. Wadle was a union carpenter for Local # 1006 in Milltown, NJ. He served with the NJ Army National Guard. During his four years in High School, he was a four year Varsity member of the Union Farmers Soccer Team, where he served as team captain. In his senior year, he held the county record for most goals scored. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Hampton and was a free mason with the Masonic Darcy Lodge #37 F.@A.M. Walter enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most importantly, Walter was especially fond of his three sons and eight grandchildren. He will truly be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his three sons: David T. Wadle and wife Lori of Palmer, PA; Walter R. Wadle Jr. of Hampton, NJ; Rudy K. Wadle and wife Jamie of Pittstown, NJ; his mother Maria Wadle, his sister: Lillian Detjen both of Union, NJ; his eightGrandchildren: Dallas, Brook, Paige, Mason, Rudy, Logan, Cayden and Bernie. Walter is also survived by his companion, Vera Knot. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth L. Wadle and his father, Rudolph Carl Wadle. Visiting hours will be Sunday January 16th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Martin Funeral Home, in Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass on Monday January 17th at 10:00m at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Hampton. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton.
