All too often, we have no choice but to say goodbye. Although we're never prepared for such a sudden departure, we will always take comfort in the wisdom that they shared, the values that they instilled upon us, and the humor that allowed us to smile. Distance may have kept us apart but we're fortunate to have wonderful memories that will last us a lifetime. Francie will always remain in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers.

Frannie and I have almost 50 years of life experience together, building memories that I will forever cherish. He has always considered a brother to me, and my parents considered him their son. Words cannot begin to express my sorrow as one of the ‘Raritan gang’ (that also includes Bart, Larry, Craig and John), has left our family.
Frannie and I had the best of times and shared many firsts, including:
1.The first fishing trip with Dad Broderick in third grade.
2.The first co-ed birthday party in 6th grade.
3.The first spin-the-bottle game in his basement at 19 Weiss Terrace in grammer school.
4.The first mischievous event (soaping Mr. Geciks house on mischief night and Dad Broderick making us wash it off the next day)
5.Frannie was my first blood brother when he and I with Tommy Reilly put our blood together in his garage at when we were about 10 or 11.
6. I remember Frannie buying what was considered one of the first psychedelic albums, (Jefferson Airplane)
7.We attended the first school dance together at Washington School in 1967 and our first rock concert (James Gang) in 1970.
9.He was he first to have a ‘hot rod’ car with his white GTO back in high school.
10. We attended a Formula 1 car race at Watkins Glen NY in October 1973, in 25 degree weather….where Frannie invited two strangers into our campfire and we gave them food and shelter…in a 2 man tent!
11. Frannie was the first to get married to another great friend and sister of ours, his wife of 36 years, Donna DeAnni.
12.He was the first of our gang to have a child with the beautiful Lauren being born…and two more wonderful children in Adrian and Michael that followed.
For anyone who ever had the pleasure to meet him, Frannie always walked into a room with a big smile and open arms, even if he never met you before.
Sadly, Frannie is the first to be taken to heaven to be with our almighty Father.
I will forever miss my dear friend and brother, may he rest in peace and I hope to someday see him and his smile once again.

I've had the great pleasure of working directly with Fran since he joined our HDS family, which he fit in right away. Cousin Donna, "FAV "is not , and was not only used to describe our dear cousin Nancy. Frannie was also one of the great family members that also bears the name "FAV". He had, and still does have , that special thing about him that puts him in a place all by himself. Frannie's smile, his settling voice, his cigars, and just all of those things that make him "FRAN". Fran, We will surely miss you here, but your new home is sure to be something special. So say hello to all of our 'loved ones' for us, and tell them we hope all is well. We will miss you.......and will never forget you.
Love You Fran.

To all of you (Donna, Lauren and John, Adrienne and Fiance, and Michael): we are so deeply sorry and saddened at the loss of your husband, father, father-in-law and father-in-law to be. Fran was a great guy. We always spoke about how he always dug right in when it came to the girls (Lauren & Cary) and their college days. He always chipped in with any help needed in their moves back and forth to college, money, rent payments, etc. It was a delight working with him and you, Donna, whenever it concerned the girls. We have a long history (all of us). Lauren and Cary as little girls with their softball games, high school proms, college, and then engagements, bridal showers and weddings (most recently Lauren & John's beautiful wedding). It was truly a spectacular day, and Fran was thoroughly enjoying all of it. And we know he was excited when Reagan wss born, and shared in our joy of becoming grandparents of a baby girl. Words cannot express our sadness; he will be deeply missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you. Wendy & Steve

I am so incredibly sorry to hear of your lose. I worked with Fran at Hitachi and he was a wonderful friend to me. I shared the same wedding day as Lauren (June 19th) and we shared lots of stories building up to the nuptials, Fran always complimenting Donna on doing such a great job with every detail. We both teared up when he told me about the daddy/daughter dance and high fived when he shared Adrienne was engaged. He was so excited about his Corvette’s that he was working on with his son Michael and was thrilled to have it out on the road. I am actually in the office today and I am overwhelmed with a sense of loss when I walk past his cube. Please know, he was an amazing man whose smile lightened the load for many of us and he will truly be missed.
God Bless. Erin Peterson- Crocker
