You were a friend, as well as a coworker during our time at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Always generous and spirited, and ready to provide a professional solution, no matter what the issue, no matter what the effort. If it had to be done, it was done! I admired your hard work, business success and pride in America, which should be a inspiration to all. Our mutual interests in cars and politics always provided impetus for a conversation, well beyond my retirement several years ago, and even up until last week . Your love of family, which you proudly wore on your sleeve as you boasted of your beloved daughter's college successes and her PhD studies, was always present. I always appreciated and looked forward to a texted article, joke or political cartoon you made a regular fixture on my phone. You kept your recent illness personal, having even texting me a thumbs up last week when I inquired about your relatives in Poland and the war in Ukraine. Inside, I felt something was wrong, when your response was a day late and not your usual several minutes.
You already know my comments above, because we said them to each other many times.
God moves in mysterious ways, taking such a loving productive man, so soon. Someday I hope to understand why.
I, along with many others, will miss you.
