Obituary of Denise Bailey

TRIBUTE TO DENISE BAILEY (1966-2022)

Words of adoration from her grateful younger sister.

Denise's entrance into the world started out in Baltimore, Maryland.  She immediately rose to fame as Joppatowne's New Year's Baby.  That initial spark and exuberance continued throughout her life.  She cherished her hometown of Clinton, NJ with its historic Red Mill and peaceful waterfall...but no matter where she lived, home to her was always about Family.

As a young college grad working at AT&T, she met her beloved husband Toby.  That love affair lasted 30 years and resulted in their beautiful daughter Emily, who was the other love of her life.  She was honored to be the step-mother to Keith and Kyle, Nan to grandchildren Devin and Maria, and Aunt to Jason and Colton.  She also embraced, with open arms, all of those who needed a second mom.  She truly excelled at being super woman.

Denise thrived on being surrounded by and in touch with her family and friends... loving parents Jim and Lorraine, siblings Christine, Danny, Jamie, and Jimmy, mother-in-law Kay, daughter in-law Danielle, and best friend Bea.

Her generous spirit and loving nature touched us all.  When you were in her presence, you knew you were loved.  And if you needed something, you went to her house.  She had it all, stockpiled and ready to go, and more than willing to hand it out.

There wasn't a holiday she didn't love but Halloween and Christmas were her all time favorites.  The bigger the better.  She loved to decorate inside and out and her home provided warmth and comfort the moment you walked in.

And let's not forget about all things funny and her smile.  Denise had a sense of humor and quirky side that made us laugh.  Never afraid to be silly or be in on a good joke.  And there was no shortness of silence when she was in the room, she loved giving and receiving attention.

She was remarkable in her strength and admired for her endless commitment to those she loved.  The next time you walk on the beach, or are on a lake, think of her.  Her memory will carry on in all of our hearts as the pure angel she was.

Rest in Peace our beloved Denise.
