Obituary of Donald Warren Dickinson, Sr.

Donald Warren Dickinson, Sr. age 84 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died Sunday June 9, 2013. Mr. Dickinson was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham Becker, and Carolyn Verhoff Dickinson, and his wife Jane Carolyn Dinkins Dickinson. Mr. Dickinson was a member of Green Valley Community Church in Placerville, California. He was a Graduate of DePauw University with a BA in 1952, and then joins the United States Army from 1953 until 1955. He was a graduate of Indiana University with MBA 1956. Mr. Dickinson had worked for Union Carbide, in New York, Product Manager with Mitchum Brothers Cosmetics in Paris, Tennessee, Director of State Industries for the State of Tennessee. County Clerk for the City and County of San Francisco, California. He was past master of San Francisco Masonic Lodge 120 in San Francisco. He was past Venerable Master, and 33rd Degree, in San Francisco Lodge of Perfection, Scottish Rite, Ben Ali Shrine, DeMolay Honorary Legion of Honor and Cross of Honor, Placerville Elks Club, Placerville Rotary Club. Former member of Pairs Rotary Club and Elks Club. He was Treasurer of Troop 15 Boy Scouts of America San Francisco. Mr. Dickinson was Chairman Henry County Tennessee Republican Party, Chairman 7th Tennessee Congressional District Republican Party, Member of Henry County Tennessee County Court, and Justice of the Peace Henry County. Chair Planning Commission, Paris TN. Marriage Commissioner City and County of San Francisco. He leaves behind family and friends throughout the Hunterdon County, NJ area. Mr. Dickinson is survived by his son, Donald Warren Dickinson, Jr. of Murfreesboro; his daughter, Carolyn Jane Daly of Glendale, California and his grandchildren; Christopher Daly & his wife Amber, Zachary Daly and Mickey Daly. There will be a visitation on Monday, June 17th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm immediately following the visitation at the funeral home. Reverend Leland McReynolds will officiate. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Clinton, NJ.
