Obituary of Joan Flotteron

Joan Flotteron, age 86, of Clinton, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.  Joan was born on November 11, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY.

Joan grew up in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.  She married the love of her life, James Flotteron, on February 8, 1958.  After getting married, Joan and Jim moved to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Together they raised their beloved daughter, Donna.

Joan worked on Wall Street for most of her career, most recently at Goldman Sachs before retiring in 2000. In 1998, Joan and Jim moved to Clinton, NJ, to be closer to their daughter and grandsons.

Joan liked to spend her free time reading, doing crossword puzzles, and cooking.  But most of all, Joan loved spending time with her family, especially her three grandsons whom she took great joy in.

Joan will be forever missed by her husband of almost 65 years, James Flotteron; daughter, Donna Flotteron-Cahill and her husband, Kevin Cahill; and her grandsons, JJ Cahill, Jamie Cahill, and Robby Cahill, Uncle Francis McDonnell, and many nieces and nephews.

Joan is predeceased by her parents, Catherine, and Jeremiah Santry.

Friends and Relatives may gather with Joan’s family on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 9:30 until 11:30 am at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 2 Whitebridge Road, Pittstown NJ. Interment will be held privately by the family.
