Obituary of Doris R. Lankford

Doris R. Lankford, 91 years, of Bethlhem Township, formerly of Edison NJ, passed away on Sunday October 16, 2022, at Hunterdon Medical Center. She was born on November 17, 1930, in Perth Amboy, NJ and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Sullivan.

Doris was a graduate of Metuchen High School, Class of 1949. She met the love of her life, John Lankford and they married in January 1951. Together they raised four children together, John Gregory, Michelle, Susan and James Craig. 

Doris belonged to St. Matthew's Church in Edison. Doris enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

Doris is survived by her children; daughter, Michelle Mowczan and her husband Michael; daughter, Susan McGuire and her husband William; son, James Craig Lankford and his wife Eileen; grandchildren, Katelyn and Ryan Mowczan; Kelly, Courtney and Blake McGuire; Dylan and Matthew Lankford.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, John F. Lankford, son, John Gregory Lankford, and brother John Sullivan.
