Obituary of Eileen T. Casey Turner

Eileen T. Casey Turner, 87, of Waymart, PA passed away peacefully on Monday October 24, 2022.  She was born on October 19, 1935 in New York, NY. and was the daughter of the late George and Helen (nee McQuade) McGee.

Eileen married Frank Casey in 1952, and together they raised their 4 sons in Hazlet, NJ. Frank passed away in 1990. She married Tom Turner in 1993 and they moved to Harrison, Michigan. In 2003 Eileen and Tom decided to move closer to family and relocated to Waymart, PA.

Eileen’s greatest joy was raising her 4 boys and being with family. She always enjoyed providing a loving home. Eileen loved baking for her family, especially for holidays and special occasions.

Eileen was a devout catholic and a member of St. Mary’s Church in Waymart, PA. She was a Eucharistic minister for her church and received great pleasure visiting homebound parishioners.  

Eileen will forever be cherished by her 4 sons, Frank Casey, Jr. and his wife, Sue; Hugh Casey and his wife, Carolyn; George Casey and his wife Darlene; and Michael Casey. Eileen will also be remembered by her beloved grandchildren, Erin, Sarah, Jennifer, Jessica, Lauren, Michael, Lindsey, and Kelly, and her dear great grandchildren, Joey, Nicky, Avelina, Aubree, and Nixon.

She also leaves behind a most faithful companion, her dog Sam.

Eileen was predeceased by her loving family members, 9 siblings, husbands, Frank Casey and Tom Turner, daughter-in-law, Judy, and granddaughter, Kristin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, November 4th at 11:00 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 242 Carbondale Road, Waymart PA 18472. All services will be held at the church under the care of Martin Funeral Home, Clinton, NJ.  Inurnment will be held privately at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.  To send condolences to the family, please visit www.martinfh.com.
