In the book he wrote, Greg's brother, Jim, noted: “There are people who needed to be written about.” Surely Greg Wilson was one such person.
Greg was straightforward.
In his conversations with his brother Jim, Greg said: I “would vent and Jim would say: 'Yeah, I know it,' with a “s_ _t eating grin on his face.'”
Greg served the United States of America for 3 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and defined patriots as those who do something constructive for their country. Then he cited Colin Kaepernick, Muhammad Ali & Congressman John Lewis as examples.
In his book, Jim said Greg was always supportive of Jim's actions.
When Greg, Jim and Anita (their sister) were children they were hospitalized with polio, Greg & Jim were on the same floor and Greg organized wheelchair races that “drove the nurses a bit crazy.”
Greg's brother, Jim Wilson once told my sister Joan: “sometimes . . . Wilsons just have to make up their own facts when our minds go off in this direction or that.”
Throughout his abundant and GENEROUS life Greg clearly agreed with that assessment and NECESSITY.

We are so sorry for your family's loss. It was wonderful to get to know Greg through St. John's ministries, especially our Social Ministry group. He was always concerned about others and helping those less fortunate, even though he faced his own challenges. He will be missed.
