Obituary of Alton Jay Fetherman

Alton J. Fetherman, 75, born July 22, 1947, passed from this life on December 16, 2022, to begin his new journey. Alton was a lifelong resident of Clinton, NJ. Alton was a volunteer firefighter for Clinton Fire Department, receiving his 30 year pin in, 2020.

Alton was a mason helper for Joe Martin for many years and worked for Perryville Liquors before retiring July 1, 2008.

He was an avid bowler, who enjoyed his weekly bowling league night, Bingo with his sisters and the Senior breakfast and luncheons.

He was the son of the late Randall J and Ella Byerlee Fetherman. He was predeceased by his loving sister Beatrice Fetherman in 2020

Alton is survived by his brother Robert Fetherman and his wife Linda of Easton, PA a sister Beverly Lambert of Hampton, NJ  3 Nephews, Robert Fetherman Jr., Richard Fetherman, and  Tim Lambert,  3 nieces Patti Angell , Diane Nesbitt  and Barbara Mowrey and 15 great-nephews and nieces,  and  11 great-great-nephews and nieces.

Relatives and friends may gather with the family on Monday, December 19^th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ, 08809. Service of remembrance will be offered on Tuesday, December 20^th at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton NJ.
