This is a beautiful portrait of Maureen's very happy life on earth & she will be remembered by the light in her eyes and smile on her face.

Each day that goes by, I miss her more. I keep forgetting and expect to see her around every corner in the house we've lived in for over 20 years! I have had questions for her, and have to catch myself from calling out her name. This is going to be hard, 49 1/2 years of marriage makes habits hard to break. My one consolation is that she is up there looking down on me, and smiling at all of this! If she is, she will certainly see how much my love for her continues to grow stronger every day!

Maureen was a friend and confidant for over 50 years. We met in high school, at Cathedral High in Trenton, NJ; but really became friends while attending Trenton State College. Maureen was my sponsor for Ionian Sigma Sororiity. I will sorely miss you, my friend.

Waking skies at sunrise, every sunset too, seems to be bringing me memories of you. Here and there, everywhere, scenes that we once knew, And they all just recall memories of you.
Your face still beams in my dreams spite of all I do. Everything seems to bring memories of you. Love Always... Phil

It's very clear, our love is here to stay. Not for a year but ever and a day.
In time the rockies may crumble, Gibraltar may tumble.
They're only made of clay.
BUT OUR LOVE IS HERE TO STAY!

It's a blue world without you,
It's a blue world alone.
My days and nights that once were filled with heaven, with you gone how empty they have grown.
The sea, the sky, my heart and I, we're all an indigo hue! Without you it's a blue, blue world.

I will always have fond memories of the good ole days at VHS (when Amy played field hockey and softball)looking up into the bleachers and seeing one of the biggest fans and cheerleaders in Maureen. I'm sure she will continue to watch all of you from the bleachers in the sky. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Stout family!

Amy Geist Franklin posted a condolence
During my freshman year at VHS, Mrs Stout and my Mom, Betty Geist, became fast friends. Both Amy and I not only shared the same name but we were avid athletes as well. Our Mom's fell easily into the role of chief supporters of all of our athletic endeavours. Even after I went to college 500 miles away and my parents retired close by, "Mo" and Mom stayed in touch. I can remember reading notes and cards and catching up on all of Amy's doings...she was a very proud Mom. She was a phenominal woman. On May 12th of this year(my daughter's 16th birthday) my Mom lost a long, well-fought battle with Alzheimer's. On May 28th (my birthday), Amy lost her Mom after a well-fought battle with cancer...I can't help but think that they are both in heaven sitting in those stands and cheering on both of their Amy's, as well as their family's, on. Rest in Peace, Mrs Stout and blessings to her entire family.

Debbie Padgett posted a condolence
I wish to send my deepest sympathy to the entire Stout family. I will always remember Maureen on the softball sidelines cheering our team on. Especially Amy. I know she loved her family very much and was very proud of her children. I remeber back in 2002 (?) when the 1984 VHS softball team was inducted to the High School Hall of fame, I received the biggest hug from Maureen and she wanted to know all that was going on in my life over the last several years. I think she was more excited than us girls put together. Though I did not know Maureen as well as some of you she always held a special place in my heart. She was a very strong, caring, loving woman. May your hearts heal in time, and know that she is in good hands.

Each morning when we awake
we know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache
As we try to carry on.
Our hearts still ache with sadness and many tears still flow. What it meant to lose you, No one will ever know.
Our thoughts are always with you, your place no one can fill. In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still.
There will always be a heartache, and often a silent tear, but always a precious memory Of the days when you were here.
We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain, to walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again.
Our family chain is broken now, and nothing will be the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
Sweet Jesus, take this message, to our dear mother up above; tell her how we miss her, and give her all our love.

God looked around His garden And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be thine".It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn’t go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home..

Maureen was one of the first people I met upon moving to Hunterdon County just
across the street from her and Phil.
We had many chats at the end of our driveways.
One day I was complaining about a very large cherry tree being nothing but a
mess on the pool deck and I explained my plan to cut it down.
Maureen immediately said to me, please do not cut that tree down, I love to look at it in the spring when it blooms.
Years later the tree still stands and it will always stand in memory of Maureen.

A beautiful soul lives on in heaven to watch over her family...
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. And the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

A man couldn't want for a more
loving, caring wife than Maureen. She raised her family to know right from wrong and to respect others. She loved small moments that moved her. As her husband I was catered to more than I deserved, and she supported me in every decision I wanted to make regarding the family. I will miss her more than words can say. Almost 50 years of marriage to her only made her image shine brighter. Till I see you again, all my love goes with you. Phil

Maureen and I met in Kindergarten at Holy Angels
School. After some years, we lost touch, but then became reacquainted during our college years at TSC. Again, losing touch, but never forgetting each other, we met at our 50th. reunion at TSC in 2010. I remarked to Maureen that I was proud to have participated with her in our first and last graduation ceremonies. It was an honor for me to have known Maureen.
