Obituary of Marlene A. Sturm

Marlene A. (nee Tinnes) Sturm, age 74, of Lebanon Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side. Marlene was born on April 22, 1949, in Somerville, NJ, to the late Edward Tinnes and the late Veronica (nee Fabian) Tinnes.

Marlene was a 1967 graduate of High Bridge High School.  On September 5, 1972, she married her beloved husband, Kenneth Sturm.  Together they raised a son, Kenneth, who she loved dearly.  Marlene most recently worked as a scanning coordinator at A&P before her retirement.

Marlene stayed active gardening, traveling, antiquing, and watching Nascar.  She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 5119 in Glen Gardner. She also volunteered to work as an election pole worker for Lebanon Township.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Kyleigh and Kellen, who she took great joy in.

Marlene will be forever missed by her son, Kenneth Sturm and his wife Kelly of White Township, NJ; granddaughter, Kyleigh Sturm; grandson, Kellen Sturm; brother, Mike Tinnes of High Bridge, NJ; long-time friends, Gladys Ennis of Southport, NC, and Lynn Tuttle of White Township, NJ.

Marlene is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Sturm Sr., and her parents, Edward and Veronica Tinnes.

All arrangements will be held privately by Marlene’s family.
