Obituary of Janet Schanze Tucker

Janet Schanze Tucker, age 87, of Pittstown, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at her home. She was born November 13, 1923 in Newark, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Schanze and the late Jean (Gillon) Schanze. Mrs. Tucker was a secretary for Mack Trucks in Allentown, PA for 20 years. She, along with her husband Clare, also owned and operated Tuckaway Dairy Farm in Alexandria Twp. for over 40 years. She was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church of Grandin and she also taught Sunday School at the Church for 30 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, baking and was a avid bird enthusiast. Mrs. Tucker is survived by her children: Daniel Tucker and wife Annette of Siloam Springs, AR, Susan Ferguson and husband David of Bell Buckle, TN, David Tucker of Pittstown, Peter Tucker and wife Judy of Pittstown, NJ, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by special friend and caregiver, Grace Karuiru. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Clare A. Tucker. There will be a Memorial Service held on Thursday, July 7th at 10:00am at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Pittstown, NJ.
