Marianna was born in Elizabeth to the late Biagio and Frances Tornatore. At a young age she met her neighbor Rosario L. Quartararo and the rest was history. They started their courtship and married on October 8, 1950 after Rosario finished his honorable service with the US Army. They settled in Elizabeth where they started their family. In 1959 with three young children, they built a home in Clark and added three more blessings to their growing family. Rosario worked hard as a builder and along with Marianna’s never ending support, they gave their familya beautiful home filled with love, always instilling the values of hard work, respect and integrity.

Marianna was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. With unwavering faith and a profound love for her family, she embraced life with warmth, kindness, and a talent for culinary delights. Her home was always filled with the irresistible aroma of her lovingly prepared meals and freshly baked treats, which brought joy to all who knew her.

A devout Catholic, she found solace and strength in her faith, embodying its teachings through her compassion and selflessness. Her love for music, evident from an early age as she played the violin carried in to her adult life. She often traveled to NYC with her parents for Saturday $1.00 matinees for standing room only at the Metropolitan Opera. She brought a harmonious melody to every gathering, creating lasting memories that will resonate in the hearts of her family forever.

Having just shared 73 years of unwavering companionship and devotion with her beloved husband Rosario, her legacy of love and commitment will continue to inspire generations to come. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

She leaves beautiful memories to her husband Rosario; her children Russell (Susan), James (the late Sherry), Marianna, Lisa, Mark and Susan; her grandchildren Christopher, James, Amy, Robert, Vincent, Dominique and Juliana; her great grandchildren Michael, Sammy, Alex, Louise Sherri; her brothers Charles (Georgeann) and Anthony (Elaine) and many more dear relatives and friends.
