Charlie was a private person, and a bit quiet. He (although did not wear it on his sleeve) was a man of faith.
When he realized that his days here were growing few he opened up a bit…something I wish he had done long before. He said he wished he had been a better person and to that I reminded him of a Bible verse he quoted many times and now it applied to him. Matthew 25:23 “His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness! “
Also, he did something that was out of character for him. He sang a song to me that had great meaning to both of us…”I Will” a Beatles song.
