Obituary of Elizabeth Kuehne

Elizabeth “Nel” Kuehne, 92, from Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2024. She was born on May 11, 1931, in Glen Cove, NY, to the late William Wylie and Hazel Wylie.

Nel graduated from Port Washington High School in 1949 and married her beloved husband, Paul Kuehne, in 1958. Together, they raised two children, Betsey, and Peter, whom she cherished. Elizabeth had a prosperous career as a real estate agent in Chatham, NJ.

In her youth, Nel enjoyed playing tennis and hosting gatherings for loved ones. She was an active member of Covenant Chapel Reformed Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge, NJ. Above all, Elizabeth found immense happiness in the company of her family, especially her five grandchildren and great-grandson. She will be deeply missed.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Betsey Kuehne Jansson and her husband Steve Jansson; son, Peter Kuehne and his wife Anne Estelle; grandchildren, Christian and his wife Gabi, Hanna, Grace, Emerson, and Wesley; and her great-grandson, Gunnar.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul J. Kuenhe; parents, Hazel and William Wylie; and her brother, William E. Wylie.
