Obituary of Ann C. Preston

Ann C. (nee Reider) Preston, age 70, of Union Township, NJ, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, with her loving husband at her side. Born September 12, 1953, in Elizabeth, NJ, Ann was the daughter of Ann Catherine (nee Hurst) Reider and the late Albert C. Reider.

Ann graduated from Governor Livingston Regional High School in 1971.  She went on to further her education, earning bachelordegrees in biology and medical technology from the University of Connecticut in 1976.  Ann married the love of her life and her true companion, Rob, on October 23, 1976.  Together they raised their two sons, Robbie and Todd, who she adored. Ann dedicated her life to her family as an educator supreme, devoted sports mom and homemaker as well as helping with the family business, ManCel Associates Inc. located in Pittstown, NJ.

Ann was a devout Catholic. She was an active parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Pittstown, NJ. She was a member of the Rosary Society, a Sacristan, and was a Dame of the Order of Malta.  Her last confession, Mass, and Communion were shared with Rob in Lourdes France on the Order of Malta Lourdes Pilgrimage two weeks ago.

Ann was a woman of quiet strength and discipline.  She was a true believer in retail therapy, and she had a closet to prove it.  In her free time, Ann enjoyed gardening and decorating her homes in the mountains of Boone NC and Hampton NJ.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family and creating special memories.
