Such a beautiful person and cherished friend to me, Denise, thank-you for being a part of my life. I'm so saddened that we've lost you, but I smile and chuckle when I think of all the fun and laughs we had working together in the ICU such a long time ago. Rest easy now as we go on fighting the good fight for you!

It was with both shock and great sadness that I read about your death,Denise. You were truly one of the unexpected cherished memories I have from 10 years ago when my sister, Cathy, spent over 2 months at Hunterdon's ICU prior to her death. My sister had Down's Syndrome and by the time she was hospitalized, also had Alzheimer's. Your kind, compassionate and always gentle care of her meant more than words could say, not only to me but especially to my 94 year old mother. I so enjoyed all of our conversations and it was so easy to see that you were the "real deal". You were one of the most genuine people I have ever met. I'll always remember that you even came to Cathy's wake, something that completely amazed me but to you it seemed like second nature. How strange it is that your death came exactly 10 years and 1 day after Cathy's. Your family, friends and the many patients you had left to care for have lost a wonderful person. You have left us far too soon.
My deepest and sincerest sympathy goes to you, Dr.McGowan and the rest of Denise's family.

Although I knew Denise for just the last two years, she greatly enriched my life. From the moment we met in Frenchtown,I knew she was a genuinely dear, sweet soul. I was blessed with continuing encounters with Denise, where despite her ongoing illness, she remained cheerful and so loving. You just always wanted to hug her and that I did! I had the pleasure of meeting her devoted husband John just before their recent trip to Italy. Thank the Lord that they had that special time away together! Shortly after, Denise visited me with her darling sister, Nina. We all had such grand fun even though Denise knew of her next most challenging health issue.
I will always remember her beautiful smile and inner being. I will miss her dearly, yet feel so blessed to have known such a remarkable woman.
With My Deepest Sympathies and Prayers to Denise's family.

We are so grateful for the gift of getting to know Denise. She and John were a tremendous support for us as Renny took on his battle with cancer. They have been with us each step of the way and now we have our own special angel to pray to. It was a blessing just being part of her life. She will be dearly remembered and missed.

My most fond memory is being baby Laura to Denise. Even as adults, she always made me feel extra special that I was the baby girl of the Comito family. I will never forget that special feeling and Denise will always be in that special place in my heart.

Denise,
I am so happy that you rescued me in the snowstorm 10 years ago because I then had the privilege of knowing you. I called you my snow angel and you were an angel to so many, many people. You set a high standard of courage and love in the face of adversity.

My father passed away in the ICU 10 years ago and I have forgotten the kindness and loving care he received from Denise. I described her as an angel then, now she actually is one.
My heart goes out to her family.
