Obituary of Betty Ann Pawlowski

Betty Ann (nee Trout) Pawlowski, age 88, of Clinton, NJ, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in Flemington, NJ. Born May 13, 1936, at her home in Bethlehem Township, NJ, she was the daughter to the late Jeremiah Henry Trout and the late Julia Ann (nee Becker) Trout.

Betty was a 1954 graduate of St Philip and St. James Catholic School.  She went on to further her education, earning her bachelor’s degree from Immaculata College in 1958.  Betty worked as a teacher for fifteen years before working in the human resource department at AT&T in Somerville, NJ, for another fifteen years.

Betty was extremely active in many organizations.  She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, a board member of the Hunterdon County YMCA, served as Riverview Hospital Auxiliary President, a member of the Union Township County Committee, a member of the ICC Rosary Society, served as NJN Commissioner, a member of the Knitting Club, as well as serving as the Union Township Senior Citizen Club treasurer. She was honored as the 2013 Employee of the Year at Holiday Inn and was the very first Dairy Queen in the state of NJ in 1953.  In her free time, Betty enjoyed taking cruises, reading, knitting, baking peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and spending time with her family and friends. 

Betty is survived by her five nephews, Doug, Eric, Neil, Craig, and Clark; her nieces, Elayn and Cara; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Betty is predeceased by her parents, Jeremiah and Julia Trout; sisters, Bernice Shoemaker and Harriet Regitz; brother, Henry Trout and her son, Jon.

Friends and relatives may visit with Betty’s family on Wednesday June 5th from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at the Martin Funeral Home, located at 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale NJ 08801. Entombment will follow mass at the church mausoleum.
