Obituary of Robert E. Vosselmann
Robert E. Vosselmann, age 77, of London, Arkansas died Friday, December 9, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Vosselmann was born February 27, 1934 in Manhattan, NY. He was the son of the late Emil and the late Christina (Rathgen) Vosselmann.
He resided in Clinton Twp., NJ for many years before moving to London, Arkansas 12 years ago. Bob was a Truck Driver for Clinton Block and for Kasper Disposal for many years before retiring. In his early years, he worked at his family's gas service station known as Emil's Amoco on Route 31. He proudly served in the United States Army for 2 tours of duty during the Korean War. Bob was very mechanically inclined and could fix anything engine related. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and trucks. In addition, he was an avid woodworker and also collected model trains.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen L. Hess of Hampton, NJ & Nancy Zanzonico of Stewartsville, NJ and his son, David Vosselmann of London, Arkansas. Additional survivors include his sister, Marlene Apgar of Annandale, NJ, his brother, Edward Vosselmann, his cherished grandchildren, Alyson Zanzonico & Winston Hess and many nieces & nephews. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Jacqueline in 2001.
The Visitation will take place Thursday, December 15th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Service held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 16th also at the Funeral Home. The Interment will be take place at the Mountain View Cemetery in Clinton Township, NJ.
