Obituary of Eugene A Gansfuss

Eugene A. Gansfuss, age 90, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born on May 23, 1934, in the Bronx, NY, Eugene was the son of the late Ambrose Ganzfus and Theresa “Tessie” Gansfuss.

Eugene graduated from North Hunterdon Regional High School in 1952 and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a part-owner of the beloved "Chicken Coop Tavern" in Pittstown, NJ, where he made many lifelong friends. A devoted member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Pittstown, Eugene's faith was central to his life.

He was predeceased by his dear friend and companion, Catherine Rapp. Eugene is survived by his stepsons: Donald Rapp and his wife, Shelly; Kevin Rapp and his wife, Lisa; and Michael Rapp and his wife, Jacqueline.
