Obituary of Kathleen J. Smith-Brown

Kathleen J. Smith-Brown, age 62, of Califon, NJ died Monday, December 19, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Smith-Brown was born August 9, 1949 in Plainfield, NJ. She was the daughter of the late George T. and the late Amelia (Lang) Van Allen. She resided in Califon, NJ for the past 37 years and previous to that, she lived in Piscataway, NJ. Kathleen was employed as a Bank Teller at the PNC Bank in Califon, NJ for many years before retiring. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Kathleen loved road trips and especially enjoyed mapping out scenic destinations such as waterfalls. She loved children and provided baby sitting to many children in the area. Survivors include her husband, Richard Brown, her devoted children, Nancy Smith, Douglas Smith & Steven Smith, her sisters, Susan Jeffrey & Beverly Pilato, 4 step-children and 7 Step-Grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her twin sister, Karen North in 2010,. The Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 22nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Services held on Friday, December 23rd at 11:00 am also at the Funeral Home. The Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Charity of One's Choice.
