Patricia Lingelbach

Obituary of Patricia Catherine Lingelbach

Patricia Catherine Lingelbach, age 74, of Union Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Patricia was born on June 27, 1950, in Trenton, NJ, the cherished daughter of the late Alphaeus and Catherine (née Kundl) Albert.

Patricia grew up in Westfield, NJ, and was a proud graduate of Mount St. Mary Academy in Watchung. Her adventurous spirit and love for travel led her to work in her family’s business, Travel Everywhere, where fate brought her together with the love of her life, Richard, at a bon voyage party. The two were married on June 22, 1974, and together they built a beautiful life, raising their two children, Erich and Rebecca.

The family eventually settled in Union Township, NJ, where Patricia’s entrepreneurial spirit flourished. After managing the renovation of her home as the General Contractor, Patricia founded Swim Jutland, a business she operated from home, where she taught swimming lessons to many, with a special passion for helping individuals with disabilities. Her love for her community was further reflected in her role as president of the Union Township Historical Society, where she worked tirelessly to preserve local landmarks, including historic bridges and farmland.

Patricia embraced many careers and hobbies throughout her life, each one showcasing her diverse talents and endless curiosity. She worked for Bristol Myers Squibb in animal research, crafted jewelry, and found success as a real estate agent with Weichert Realty in Clinton and Phillipsburg. Her artistic passions included painting portraits and landscapes, and she took great joy in knitting sweaters and hats for her children. Above all, Patricia loved to travel and explore new places, always bringing back stories and memories that enriched her life and the lives of those around her.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Richard “Dick” Lingelbach; her son, Erich Lingelbach, and his wife, Ireland; her daughter, Rebecca Rose Lingelbach; her brother, Conrad Albert, and his wife, Betsy; and her adored granddaughter, Aleasha. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Willow, Tootsie, and Kirby, who brought her endless joy.

All services will be held privately at this time under the care of Martin Funeral Home in Clinton, NJ.

Patricia will be remembered for her boundless love, entrepreneurial spirit, and the many lives she touched throughout her extraordinary journey. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
