Obituary of Valerie Pascarello

Valerie Pascarello, age 73, of Whiting, NJ, formerly of Jersey City and Bayonne, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Morristown Medical Center, surrounded by her beloved children. Born on September 19, 1951, in Jersey City, Valerie was the daughter of the late Mario and Josephine Pascarello.

Valerie graduated from Henry Snyder High School, Class of 1968, and went on to build a successful career in New York City, where she worked as a financial executive for various firms. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Jennifer and Eric, who were the center of her world.

After many years in Jersey City and Bayonne, Valerie relocated to the Crestwood Village Community in Whiting, NJ. She quickly became an active and cherished member of the community, volunteering for various positions. Valerie’s deep Catholic faith was a guiding force in her life. She found joy in simple pleasures, including reading, tending to her beloved plants, playing Scrabble, and spending time by the beach. Above all, Valerie cherished the moments spent with her close friends and her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

Valerie’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Kilgallen, and her husband, Michael; her son, Eric Pascarello, and his wife, Vanessa; her treasured grandchildren, Carson, Avalina, Chloe, and Lola; her brother, Mario Pascarello, and her brother-in-law, Wilmer Ortiz.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Sunday, October 6th, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Martin Funeral Home, located at 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 7th, at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ 08867. Cremation will follow privately.
