Obituary of Norman Runyon
Norman Runyon, age 93, of Clinton Township, NJ died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. Mr. Runyon was born September 19, 1919 in Potterstown, NJ. He was the son of the late Fredrick and the late Elizabeth (Messol) Runyon.
Norman was a Farmer at Wolverton Brothers Farm in Annandale, NJ for many years. He also worked as a Truck Driver for Warren Lumber. He was a longtime resident of Clinton Twp., NJ. Norman enjoyed mowing his lawn and traveling. He was a very self sufficient capable man who built his own house.
He is survived by his niece, Anna Marie Thomas and her husband, Marvin of Hackettstown, NJ; his niece, Eileen Goldstein of Delray Beach, FLA; his nephew, Stanley Runyon of Washington, NJ; his nephew, James Runyon and his wife, Theresa of Hackettstown, NJ; his niece, Darlene Mowrey and her husband, James of Bangor, PA; his nephew, Roger Hill of Belvidere, NJ; his niece, Ruth Ann Eichlin of Forks Twp., PA; his niece, Barbara Gordeuk and her husband John of Bowling Green, KY; his niece, Nancy Wolf of Athens, PA, and several great-nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Edith Hill of Phillipsburg, NJ. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Catherine Runyon in 1985, his sister, Illamae Duyckinck in 1996, his brother, Stanley Runyon Sr. and his nephew, Arthur Wolf of Athens, PA.
Norman's Life Celebration will include visitation on Tuesday, August 6th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a funeral service at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6th also at the funeral home. The interment will immediately follow at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton, NJ.
