Obituary of Rudolph J. Miquel

Rudolph J. Miquel, age 86, of High Bridge, NJ died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. Mr. Miquel was born July 27, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late Rudolph and the late Loretta (Keenen) Miquel. He resided in High Bridge, NJ for the past 42 years and previous to that he lived in South Bound Brook & Old Bridge, NJ. Rudolph was employed as an Electrical Specialty Salesman by Acme Electrical in Somerville, NJ, Circle Electrical in South Plainfield, NJ and most recently by Hesco Lighting in Clinton, NJ. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Rudolph was very mechanically inclined especially with electronics. He enjoyed working with early televisions and vintage radios. He was fond of opera & classical music especially from Kathryn Grayson and Andre Rieu. He is survived by his daughter, Marianne Schultz of Neshanic Station, NJ, and his sons, Matthew Miquel of High Bridge, NJ, Robert Miquel of White House Station, NJ & Mark Miquel of Milford, NJ. Additional survivors included his eleven cherished grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by is beloved wife, Mary V. Miquel in 2001 and his son, Michael J. Miquel in 2005. There will be a Life Celebration Gathering for Rudolph on Wednesday, April 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service offered at 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ.
